This will give you - when it is expanded - a flavour of what the site will look like when it is more complete.

Essentially this site is designed to let you get to the village you are interested in. You can navigate using the zoom-able map or you enter the postcode (later the name) of the village want.

We have some navigation pages at the start that allow you to use a map (that you can move around and zoom in or out; you can even switch back and forth between a map view and satellite photography) to locate the area you are interested in looking at and that produces a county sized map and a list of all the villages, towns and cities within the area. Those handled so far will be click-able because data exists.



Alternatively you can enter the postcode of the village you are interested in and go straight there if we handle that village. (Later on you will have the option to enter the actual place name of the village you are interested in.)

Having chosen an existing village you will see all the village details and a map that can show the locations of any type of business, feature, facility or other groupings that you choose.

This is the start of the publication written by a Village Voice specifically about that village.

The village details include descriptions and photos and news reports of anything the Village Voice has highlighted plus you have access to archives of previous stories.

You will also see lots of lists of similar establishments and you can look at the entries in detail. If there is no further detail you will always have the address and contact details anyway.

We will show you details about everything about our subscribers - name and address, telephone number and other contact details but also opening hours, disability provisions for the lame, deaf and blind and description of the service provided. We may also show you a web-page written by the service provider themselves.

There will also be a portal (list of urls and short descriptions) to all the websites that we know exist that refer to anything in the village. If you know of more websites then let us (the Vilage Voice or ourselves) know and we will include it - f.o.c.

There will be a major section in every village where we show jobs on offer in the village, commercial property to hire or buy in the village, domestic property to buy, items or services for sale at a discount from the businesses in the village and second hand items wanted or for sale from the residents of the village.
