         | Directions from M25 M25 Junc 28 - take exit to A12 to Chelmsford, Colchester, Ipswich and Felixstowe After about 50 miles you come to the A14 Roundabout opposite Tesco's and Toys-R-Us etc. Turn Right onto A14 heading towards Felixstowe Over Big Bridge (River Orwell) Take Second Junction (marked A12 North). You will see signpost for Marina (after Macdonald's on left). Down to Roundabout Follow roundabout under A14 and take exit following signs to Ipswich, Levington and Marina. 100 yards turn Left towards Levington and Marina. 2 miles just after Dual Carriageway turn Right (Signposted Marina) Over Railway track, follow single track road Sharp right bend then after 50 yards, take left turn - Suffolk Yacht Harbour 500 Yards come to barrier. If barrier is down, Green button is behind bar on left side to open barrier On entering yard, turn left towards the Red Lightship and park between the first Toilet block (left) and Lightship (Right) You will see a ramp going down to Marina pontoons just past the Lightship. Go down ramp and continue to walk out along this first pontoon (H). We are about 1/3 of the way along on the right(#232). White boat / blue coach line with raised saloon - has large windows in the centre. It's Called "Passe-Partout" but as the name is on the back you can't see from the pontoon !! If you arrive first, the best place to meet is in the Lightship (Bar). This is members only, but if asked (unlikely), tell them you are meeting with a member (me) and they should serve you. They stop serving food at 21:00 so if you plan to eat (the food is excellent) try and arrive before 21:00 |
