We are delighted to announce the reintroduction of minisquash for children aged 6 and over.

The next set of sessions will be held on Sundays from 10.30 - 12.00 starting 2nd May.

The new squash season is approaching and the Junior Squash coaching sessions start again on Saturday 12th September .

Aylesbury Squash Club recently invested in qualifying five new Level 1 squash coaches with the aim of giving fresh impetus, ideas and enthusiasm into Junior Squash. Along with our existing very experienced Level 2/3 coaches, we aim to welcome new children to squash, bring on some of the vey promising youngsters and primarily make sure that all children attending have fun and really enjoy the sport of squash.

The sessions will run in six week blocks that loosely follow the school terms. Therefore, the first block will run through to Saturday 17th October.

The main points to take note of are as follows:

MINIMUM AGE
The guideline is for the child to be 10 years of age and above which best suits the structured nature of the sessions

SESSION DETAILS
Each session will run from 9:00 am to 10:30 am
The sessions will consist of structured coaching from 9:00 to 10:00 am followed by more relaxed and informal squash related games and/or optional competitive matches (A Junior Squash ladder is a possibility depending on demand)

COST
A six week block will cost £15.00, alternatively if not paying in advance, each session can be paid for individually at £3.00 each
There is an option of purchasing junior squash annual club membership and thereafter each session will only cost £1.00

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
Squash rackets, suited to age and ability are supplied by the club. The child has the option to use his/her own racket
Each child must wear non-marking indoor sports shoes and appropriate sports clothing
Aylesbury Squash Club recommend that each child should wear safety goggles whilst on court. These goggles can be purchased at a discounted price from the club on the day

PARENTAL CONSENT
A parental consent form for each child attending must be completed and signed before participation in the sessions
