Junior section | News / Diary | Junior squash is held on Saturday mornings from 9am - 10.30am and from 10.30 - 12 and is open to junior members (generally 8 - 16 years old) of all abilities.
Non-members wishing to see what goes on or give it a try are very welcome to attend. The current format is to receive group coaching in the first hour and to then play games against other players in the second.
Junior coaching, and the mini-squash sessions (see below), are run by Ian Smithies and Dave O'Connor with help from Dave Herron, Andrea Clarke, Tricia Matthews, Simon Townsend, Thomas Phipps and Craig Smithies. The weekly sessions cost £2 with annual membership charges of £27 - £46 depending on relevant age group.
The junior squad run a team in the Bucks Squash League. They recently gained promotion to Division 1 and it is hoped to run two teams this season by entering a team into Division 2.
We currently have 2 level-3 qualified coaches, 6 level-2 qualified coaches and 4 level-1 qualified coaches. If anyone wants to get involved please let the junior coaching staff know - you don't need to be an expert player, just be willing to get involved.
